Working in community spaces
Although houses, schools, businesses and community centres are regularly built in the countries we work in internationally, many schools and community spaces lack one thing: recreational spaces.
Children (and adults!) should have the right to play: to grow and enjoy their recreational time and learn new skills. We listen to local schools and community organisations, to see what they need and provide them with opportunities to develop their recreational and sports facilities with us.
How will I be involved?
If your volunteering itinerary includes Project Build, you could:
Work with local tradesmen to construct an adventure playground in a school.
Work with local schools to build sports facilities.
Individuals and Gap Year students
Businesses, Schools and Groups
Are you skilled in construction or engineering?
We’d love for you to volunteer your time in some more complex building projects, such as building classrooms or community spaces, or empowering local tradesmen through education and business skill shares. We will work to partner your skills with a local project where your skills are needed most.
