Long term impact partnerships abroad

Are you looking to create meaningful, long lasting collaborations which create real impact? We believe that the most effective way for companies to create impact is to partner with organisations and use their skills to make a difference.

If you’re looking for an exciting partnership opportunity abroad then our volunteering expeditions are the best way to kick-start those relationships which, over time, you will be able to build on and collaborate with on projects that make a real difference.

Bespoke expeditions to kick-start and build relationships

We offer bespoke packages that are tailor-made to meet your needs or fulfil you C.S.R. goals. We will take the time to sit down with you and create an expedition that enables you to use your skills and creativity in delivering successful projects on the ground, in the communities we work in.  As well as making an impact in the communities through the expedition, your team will have the opportunity to learn new skills, work together, and apply their skills in a challenging and exciting environment.

Skills matching

We work with you and our partners to find projects and partnerships that work with your skill set. After many years working in the charity and business sector, we know that companies and charities get more from their partnerships if they are sharing skills. That’s why we work to evaluate the skills in your organisation and find partnerships that help you to share those skills and apply them in new and exciting environments.

Empowerment

We don’t believe in the traditional model of companies just ‘handing out’ to charities. All of the communities we work with abroad have skilled and motivated people who want to work with organisations to help their communities thrive. They will share their skills and knowledge with you and, in return your team will share theirs.

Sustainability

We want our partnerships to be sustainable, so we will work with you and your partner to help you both continue to make an impact. The volunteering expedition will help you to kick-start this relationship and start making an impact, but there are also opportunities for you to continue this relationship so that the projects you work on are sustainable and long-lasting.

Staff motivation

Many staff are now not happy with just the 9-5 grind and are increasingly looking to have careers in companies that do more. By creating a sustainable partnership, through volunteering expeditions, you will be able to offer your staff the chance to share their skills in exciting and challenging environments abroad. Your staff will also gain so much from the experience, learning about new cultures, environments, skills enabling them to grow closer as a unit.

We also offer the opportunity for staff to learn new skills on our programme and to learn how to work more effectively as a team. We will work with you to discuss what this could look like, but it could involve:

  • Learning bush craft and survival skills from the Maasai and our trained staff in Tanzania

  • Team building activities to develop your team’s communication and problem solving skills

  • Planning and implementing your own micro Community Development Project

The fun stuff

As well as volunteering, there are also opportunities to enjoy all that Tanzania has to offer. Add to your experience one or more of the adventures we have to offer;

  • Safari in the world-famous Serengeti or the many other National Parks.

  • Climb Mount Kilimanjaro or Mt Meru, the ultimate team building or fund raising activity!

  • Experience the Maasai Culture.

  • Hunt with the Habzarbi Bush men.

  • Waterfalls hike.

Impact measurement

We measure the impact of the projects we work on. With years of experience measuring and reporting on impact, we can also work with you to help measure and evaluate the value and impact of your partnerships. We will discuss this with you when you embark on your journey.

Bespoke

Your trip is bespoke! We tailor make your trip to suit your needs and reach your goal or targets. The first thing we do once you have shown interest in joining us is a face to face meeting to discuss what you want your trip to look like. As we do not pass you on to partners but run every part of your expedition we are able to create for you an expedition that is perfect.

Tanzania

Tanzania is wonderfully unique and offers beauty and mystique like no other. It has so much to offer in its wealth of diversity in wildlife, culture, history and geography. Tanzania boasts some of the best National parks for spotting game and has the largest concentration of animals per square km in the world. Home to 162 tribal groups including the colourful Maasai, there is no shortage of culture. The Great Rift Valley cuts through the country giving life to many wonderful geographical features such as the flamingo filled Lakes of Manyara and Natron and to NgoroNgoro Crater the largest of its type in the world and one of the top parks for spotting the ‘Big 5’. The snow caps of Kilimanjaro, the tallest free-standing mountain in the world confirms your sense that you are truly in a special place.

Tanzania gained independence from the British in 1961 and has continued to remain a very stable country. Despite all the peace and beauty, Tanzania has almost 70% of its population living under the poverty line. Poverty is highest in rural areas resulting in malnutrition of primarily women and children. Education, although free, is still basic, lacking facilities in most schools and parents still have to find the funds to support this as well as school meals and equipment. Often schools don’t contain much more than a classroom, benches, black boards and a couple of broken chalk pieces. There are many willing to work with great ideas and inspirations but lack of accessible resources and start up finances prevents many from setting up their own business and achieving their goals.
