Serengeti National Park
Probably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world for spotting big game. One would be unlucky not to spot the big 5. The perfect park for viewing cats and other predators, with prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals and african hunting dogs there will be no shortage of action. In the right season you can see one of the world’s greatest spectacles, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest migrate through the plains and rivers of the Serengeti creating opportune hunting for predators such as lion and crocodile.
Serengeti National Park is nearly 15 000 km of endless plains teaming with animal life that will not disappoint. Your only regret will be that you wished you could stay for longer.

NgoroNgoro Crater
NgoroNgoro Crater was voted one of the 7 Natural wonders of the world in 2013. Once you’ve gazed on the sheer spectacle of the largest in-tact caldera in the world you can understand why. A crater formed by a volcanic eruption millions of years ago giving life to a wildlife paradise where dense populations of large mammals have entered and never found a reason to leave. Here it’s possible to spot the endangered Black Rhino where only 5000 are left in existence. Also home to flamingo, crowned crane, lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, serval, hyena, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, hippo, ostrich, monkey, baboon, gazelle and antelope, there is a huge diversity of species to view. Not only the animal life but the geography is like no other with the crater rim giving a wonderful panoramic view at all times encompassing a number of different ecological zones, including acacia woodland, forest, grassland plains, lakes and craggy out crops.

Tarangire National Park
Tarangire is home to many Baobab trees and elephant families. The landscape view is like a spectacular art piece of rich colours broken up by tusk chiselled Baobab trees and of course the tusker itself and an endless supply for that matter. The name Tarangire actually gets its name from the Warthog, of which one can see plenty. The park, especially around its main river is a great place to watch a lion hunt unfold, much like on a David Attenborough documentary, but now it’s real and you feel part of the action.

Lake Manyara National Park
A smaller but very attractive national park with diverse and unusual landscape. Lake Manyara is situated on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment which gives life to the lake itself. The lake is a salt lake which is inhabited by flamingoes who use it as a breeding ground. Hippos can be viewed in pools surrounding the eastern shores. The park has a beautiful woodland which gives life to a rich diversity of bird and butterfly populations and antelope that you are unlikely to see elsewhere. Forest elephants occupy these areas also but this park is best known for its tree climbing lions.

Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park is less visited than the other parks but a fantastic option for a one-day safari out of Arusha. With Mount Meru situated in the west, the park has a special atmosphere to it and with habitats not found in any other parks, Arusha National park is quite special. The park does not offer as much as the other parks in terms of big game spotting but does offer views of Kilimanjaro, attractive lakes and forest woodlands teaming with monkey and bird life. You are sure still sure to bump into the occasional sightings of giraffe, buffalo, zebra, warthog and elephant.
